1.
Noble knights on their snowy steeds, telling me "Son, you've got to dig deep". But everything inside, broken bells and dull blades. What then? Tel me, Pendragon. Oh, we are dragon brothers. Tell me what you felt when you first beheld the Lady of the Lake, shimmering, perfect there. The love you tasted then, couldn't hold a candle next to when I saw, when I saw your Guinevere. Oh, when I saw your Guinevere. Guinevere and Lancelot, hammered drunk between the sheets, in shameless sin, consequence be damned. Echoing through camelot, Rumors of their passion grew, on wings they flew to Arthur's ear. All our weapons out on the Round Table, and you try your best to talk me down your best to talk me down. Oh, we were dragon brothers.
2.
Prometheus 03:23
It's merciless, what I deserve. I accept the justice, the pardon you burned with a stolen flame. Prometheus, you feel the pain of mortal men. When I was discovered, Hades spewed, enraged "I curse your name. You'll pray for death". Prometheus, you feel the pain of growing old, and wanted to be a god. Prometheus, you feel the chains of mortal men. We had walked in the garden in the cool of the evening Immortal once, now fallen, in a constant state of rebellion.
3.
Oasis 03:53
She's an oasis, oh in a desert waste. A graceful river, I'm just a man on the edge. Oh, shall we dance? And pretend there was never a spark in our hands. Every memory is bittersweet, getting tangled in the dark, dancing. What next? Do we let a glance be a glance? I'm too honest for my own good.
4.
Gave you blood for the truth. Live a better life, it's the proof. Oh, the city is burning so fierce, I feel it rage like a lion. Oh, changes inside me, I still hunger for hope like a child. Your jaw tight through the night. Never stop craving the sunlight.
5.
Pressure chamber round your chest, I never felt so helpless. Surviving on the past, breathing out fast. Amelia, could you just sway in my arms tonight? Sway slowly, sway slowly. You're stronger than the fears in your heart. Do you know a diamond's in the folds of a tattered rose twisted round? You're a rose twisted round. Leaving early to avoid all of the traffic, and all of the boys. Your sister married and we danced, nervous like junior high kids.
6.
Ghost State 03:49
Your eyes out of focus, wandering beyond me. You weren't afraid, dancing with lightning. Didn't hesitate, airborne off the cliff. I held you in the rain, frozen in your North Face. Your hands are all that I crave, living in a ghost state. A secret pulse in the blood, I feel it smolder in your touch. Do you miss it much?
7.
Alchemist 04:11
Alchemy in your bones, changing to fool's gold. Among ruins, there is still treasure. Oh, did you feel it coming, when you said "No one leaves tonight without some scars". Took a bullet for the things that you thought would love you back, oh no, My dear, I can see your scars in the sun. Soul divided, no bridges to get you back, oh no, I am there with you in the wound. Feel the disconnect in the silence. So many voices now. Can you hear Love?
8.
War Paint 03:57
Raindrops fall in a steady rhythm on your face, on the lonely borders of your estate. Letters burned by a candle flame. Black ashes darken your face. It's your war, your war paint. Thunder breaks conversation in the night, It reminds you of frontline fires. Your bed's been through a war. The canopy has been torn. Sinking ships and black hole lips did their work baby. Scars they speak every day but you're not listening. Writers note: This song is dedicated to those who live with PTSD, especially our veterans.
9.
Needle in your car, and I found the casing. Don't know how to breach this subject. Your taste for blood is growing. Who i knew you were, it's fading. Living in the fear of ascension. Suspended in petrified fascination. The rapture battles gravity in me, and I swear I've been separating. Bullet in your arm, and you saw you'll walk it off. No you can't, and we both know it. Can you feel a violent division deep down in your spirit? Hands calm, as if you'd always known it. My final breath, I fear I'll lose all control.
10.
Empires 04:06
Tigers, they prowl in my heart. Empires have ended for less than your eyes. I don't know if I ever thought I'd get old, and I see in you a waste of youth. Cigarette embers rushing by like a violent past you regretted. I will soon lose the details of your face. Redemption, she waits for you. Chasing the edge of your robe all night. Watching a savage world burn itself.
